How it is calculated
MBTI describes personality along four axes: where you draw energy (E or I), how you take in the world (S or N), how you make decisions (T or F), and how you run your life (J or P). Their combination gives one of sixteen types. It is the most popular personality framework in the world, though psychologists debate how rigorous it really is. We take it as a handy language for talking about yourself. It does not give an exact diagnosis.
