Meaning of the Jera rune

The year and the harvest: the reward for work, ripened in its own time. Jera is what comes when it is due and by merit - fruit that cannot be picked early. Everything in its turn. If the work has honestly gone in, this rune says the season is quietly doing its part of the job, and the date it has in mind is close enough to be worth waiting for.

The shadow side

Jera is symmetrical, so turning it leaves the same sign and there is no reversed position. Every force still has its dark edge. This rune does not reverse, the cycle turns the same way round. Its shadow is impatience: pulling at a shoot to make it grow faster is how you kill it. In a difficult surrounding it points at a harvest you are reaching for before it has finished ripening.
