How to read the cards
Think of your question and shuffle a deck of 36 cards with that question held in mind. Cut with your left hand, draw a few cards and lay them out from left to right. Read each one by its rank and its suit, and let the whole picture come from how the cards sit next to each other. More red cards lean toward the good, more black ones toward trouble and effort. Cartomancy is as plain as that, and the plainness is the best thing about it.

Playing card reading is old and blunt. Every card carries its own meaning, from a joy to a tear, and the playing card meanings below are the ones tradition has used for a couple of centuries. The truth of it is that a card sows no trouble and hands out no happiness. It names what you are already carrying: hope, worry, waiting. A spade card is a reason to get ready and never a curse. A heart card is permission to hope, with nothing guaranteed by anybody. I do not prophesy your fate out of a deck.

How do you read playing cards?
Take a deck of 36 cards, sixes through aces, think of your question and shuffle with it in mind. Cut with your left hand, draw a few cards and read each one by its meaning and its suit: hearts for feelings, diamonds for money and news, clubs for cares and work, spades for hardship.
What do the suits mean in card reading?
Each suit holds a sphere of life. Hearts speak of love, feeling and home. Diamonds cover money, business and news. Clubs are cares, errands and the working week. Spades are hardship, worry and quarrels. The rank of the card then sets how loudly it sounds and in what shade.
Which card is the worst one?
Tradition treats the nine of spades as the unkind one and reads it as a blow and a loss. Even that card passes no sentence. It names a fear or a hard stretch of road, and how things actually settle is down to circumstances and to you. I read cards as a mirror, and a mirror appoints nothing.
Does playing card reading tell the truth?
It tells the truth about you. The card reflects what is on your mind right now: hope, worry, waiting. What comes true here is your own attention, because once you have noticed a sign you start seeing in your life the thing it named. There is no verdict anywhere in that.
